Seven Reasons To Go Green

In recent years, the world population started to focus on the environment. To begin, we are slowly realizing the importance of our industrialization on the fauna and flora. The extent pollution that we produce must decrease if we do not want to disappear within 100 years.  For this reason various companies have created green technologies that, while being efficient, respect our environment. They can easily replace the energy to which we are dependant : oil. Here are the seven most important reasons why we have to turn to clean energy.

1. Save the fauna

Have you paid attention to the animal world lately? If so, you have probably noticed that many species disappear each year. Several experts have calculated that species are disappearing from 1,000 to 10,000 times faster than normal. That is to say, by the fault of our industrialization, animals die more quickly in general. This imbalance affects the entire food chain in the world and has a direct impact on us.

2. Save the flora

By simply looking at the United States from the 1600s to today, we see that this country has lost 90% of its virgin forests 1. Let us remind that we need these trees to survive. The oxygen they generate is essential for good air quality. Moreover, much of this deforestation is due to oil extraction which often causes major environmental disasters 2.

3. Ensure a healthy future

Invest and promote green technologies also means to protect future generations. Why did not they have the right to enjoy a healthy earth like us and all those who preceded us? If we do not act quickly to stop the average temperature rise, all living will grow in disastrous conditions.

4. Enjoy renewable energy

The oil is not an inexhaustible energy source. One day we will have used all that was available. That is why we must turn slowly to inexhaustible energy sources like the sun, wind, water and hot springs. Besides being healthy for the environment, these sources will never need to be replaced.

5. Enjoy a variety of energies for different geographical situations

Each country has different characteristics of its own. Some have large reserves of water, others have a strong wind and others are "close" to the sun throughout the year. No need to dig for energy or being addicted to oil-rich countries, all countries can be funded to develop profitable green energy sources.

6. Our every day choices count

Large companies are always looking to make the most possible profit. For this, they are based on consumer needs and continuously adapt. Indeed, the market we now have is very different from the one 50 years ago. Then, demand in North America differs from demand in Asian countries. So, ifs companies realize that people have a growing interest in the environment, they will put the necessary effort to have more ecological products. If they have greener choices, consumers will be encouraged to buy the best products for the environment. This chain will continue unceasingly for a healthier environment. That is why our concern for the health of our planet is not trivial: it can make a difference on a large scale.

7. It is not complicated

Small everyday actions can make a big difference for the planet: to not throw waste on the ground, to recycle, to compost, to reduce water consumption, to promote reusable containers and bags, to prioritize public transport, carpooling and bicycling. If every citizen bother to do these things, it would make a huge difference at the national and global level. More, these actions do not represent difficult chores, but rather a lifestyle which we can be proud of.

Conclusion

Governments around the world are investing more and more to save our planet. A simple and effective way to support them is to do simple green actions in daily life (you can refer to number 7). Pay particular attention to sustainable development that is building around you and participate. The greater the interest of the population to the environment will be, the greater the efforts made by governments to help the planet will be.
